Erasmus+ Webinar: Core Principles In Housing First - Flexible or Set?
Date: Friday, 19th of September
Time: 11.00-12.00 CET (10am – 11am Irish Time)
Place: Zoom
HOUSING FIRST BERLIN are HOSTING AN ADAPTING HOUSING FIRST WEBINAR IN ASSOCIATION WITH ITS EU PARTNERS ( SOPHIA HOUSING, Y- FOUNDATION AND ARRELS FUNDACIO)
The webinar is the last in a series of webinars resulting from a research project funded by the European Commission's Erasmus+ programme. The project is focused on adaptations of Housing First concepts in Europe. It is led by Sophia Housing from Ireland. Other partner organizations are Arrels Fundació (Spain), Housing First Berlin (Germany) and Y-Säätiö (Finland).
Housing First is considered a “state of the art” program in addressing homelessness and housing exclusion. Fidelity to the original model of Housing First is mostly tied to the United States, however, some elements of the model have not proven to be as applicable or useful in Europe contexts.
As part of this project we have been researching and discussing various adaptations to the model and tried to identify their impact. In this webinar we want to share some of the insights with you. We will talk about examples of where compromises to the Core Principles have been made, explore the reasons for this, and what the results have been. We will also discuss “red lines” in dealing with the Core Principles.
The participation is free of charge. Please register here:
